    Dear All

Just a quick message from your friendly local ex-GU Tiger type fellow to let you all know that the East Kilbride Pirates, Scotland's number 1 American Football team, are currently preparing for their 2008 season and would very much like to hear from any players who wish to continue playing through the summer in the West of Scotland. I'll not bore you with the details but they're all available here: www.piratesfootball.co.uk and on our forum. Pebbles and Nellie are regulars for the Pirates, both winning awards at the 2007 Player of the Year Awards Night, (most improved and lineman of the year respectively).

Anyway dudes, there are other options for senior ball (Glasgow Tigers Snr, West Coast Trojans, etc) but be sure to consider the Pirates. I played one season with the GU Tigers before graduation and have played with the Pirates since. Great team atmosphere, great road trips and a chance to play against the best players in the UK.

Bumped for 2009 season. Same deal, more playing time available, less cash to spend on road trips. A glamour tie vs West Coast to kick off the season.

As Pebbles has said, this year we're competing in Division 1 North, which means that there are less travel costs for players, less time away from home for games and more opportunities for game time for new players.

We've just secured a new home ground, additional sopnsorship and are working hard on developing the team both on and off the field, so if you're interested, we'd love to hear from you. We have full kit available for new players.

I appreciate that the GU Tigers have links with the Glasgow Tigers but don't forget we're here. There's never any shortage of rumours about the Pirates but if you'd like to come along and make up your own mind, get in touch. Full details on our recent developments and contact details for the team can be found at www.piratesfootball.co.uk.

    All the best
